Since its beginning, Immanuel has placed extraordinary emphasis on the tradition of presenting music which encompasses all walks of life and draws from many languages and cultures around the world. Whether it is a sacred anthem, a gospel spiritual, or a classical chorale, Immanuel strives to present a standard of quality and commitment through God’s gift of melody, harmony and song.

Adult Choir
Singers interested in becoming a part of the choir are invited to contact Choir Director, Kathleen Scott kathleenscott.7@gmail.com. Rehearsal times and location: Wednesdays, 6:45 pm in the IBC Choir Room, Sundays, 8:25 am, in the sanctuary.

Children's Choir
From time to time opportunities for children, in grades one through high school, to participate in vocal and recorder choirs are announced. Watch this web site for those announcements.

Bell Choir
On special occasions, a Bell Choir may be gathered for seasonal presentations. None is presently planned.

First Friday Art Walk
On the first Friday of each month Immanuel participates in Portland's 'First Friday Art Walk' with a church member or guest performer providing piano or organ interludes, as guests wander about the sanctuary enjoying the architecture and/or stained glass. Other displays of art expressions by church members and friends will be displayed from time to time in the Narthex. Free refreshments are always provided.

More Arts at Immanuel - Immanuel will schedule, prepare and announce a variety of arts events throughout the year (music, theatre, dance, exhibits, tours, etc.) for greater Portland, using the church's exceptional facilities to enrich the community culturally. Please see Coming Events on the Home Page, for the announcement of the special musical events in 2010.

Music Organizations not affiliated with the church often present concerts in the church's magnificent sanctuary. Interested groups are invited to contact the church office for information (775-2301).
